WCT Academy Productions are a theatre training program that gives students the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of participating in and creating a full production while learning skills that can be applied on and off stage - critical thinking, collaboration, mindfulness, and more.

Production Information

This is an audition-based, tuition-based Academy production. Auditions are open to actors ages 8-18.

We will be casting two casts (Cast A & Cast B), with 20 students each.

Follow Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and his beanstalk, Rapunzel, and a Baker and his Wife as they journey into the woods to pursue their deepest wishes – only to discover that “happily ever after” comes with unexpected consequences. Faced with a witch’s curse, the Baker and his Wife must embark on a daring quest that changes them forever, while the other beloved characters confront their own hopes, dreams, and challenges along the way. Featuring the beloved music of Stephen Sondheim and the witty, imaginative book by James Lapine, Into the Woods JR. is a lyrically rich, enchanting adventure that celebrates the magic, mystery, and lessons of the classic Brothers Grimm tales.

WCT Academy Productions are tuition-based programs run by professional theatre artists and designers that provide our students with a hands-on experience in the theatre.

Auditions and Schedule

Auditions: November 22-23, 2026 (Sign-up will open approximately 4 weeks before auditions. View all information here.)

Callbacks: November 24, 2026

Rehearsals: December 28, 2026 – February 12, 2027, Mondays – Fridays from 4:30 – 6:30 PM

Tech week (Cast A): February 15-18 from 4:30 – 8:30 PM

Tech week (Cast B): February 22 – 25 from 4:30 – 8:30 PM

Performances (Cast A): February 19 at 7:30 PM, February 20 at 2:00 & 7:30 PM, February 21 at 2:00 PM

Performances (Cast B): February 26 at 7:30 PM, February 27 at 2:00 & 7:30 PM, February 28 at 2:00 PM

Strike (BOTH casts): February 28, following final performance

NO conflicts are allowed during tech week or performances for your cast. You may request one cast or another, but it could affect casting decisions.
