Experience the journey from childhood to adulthood in Not Alone in the Universe, a moving two act cabaret about showing up for each other, sharing the spotlight, and honoring the people who remind us we are never alone. This October, the Waukesha Civic Theatre invites youth and a parent, relative, mentor, or teacher to take the stage together. Each pair will perform a duet celebrating connection, belonging, and supportive relationships.

WCT Academy Teens bring myth to life in Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses, based on Ovid’s first-century epic.

The play weaves together familiar and rarely-told stories of transformation, juxtaposing the ancient and the contemporary to explore love, loss, and the inevitability of change. The ensemble embodies mythic figures like Midas, Eros and Psyche, and Orpheus and Eurydice through moments of joy, heartbreak, and daring.
Visually and emotionally captivating, Metamorphoses invites audiences to reflect on the fluid nature of life, identity, and the world around us – a poetic and unforgettable journey brought vividly to life by these talented young performers.

WCT Academy presents Into the Woods JR., a magical, family-friendly musical where classic fairy tales come to life.
Follow Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and his beanstalk, Rapunzel, and a Baker and his Wife as they journey into the woods to pursue their deepest wishes – only to discover that “happily ever after” comes with unexpected consequences. Faced with a witch’s curse, the Baker and his Wife must embark on a daring quest that changes them forever, while the other beloved characters confront their own hopes, dreams, and challenges along the way.
Featuring the beloved music of Stephen Sondheim and the witty, imaginative book by James Lapine, Into the Woods JR. is a lyrically rich, enchanting adventure that celebrates the magic, mystery, and lessons of the classic Brothers Grimm tales.

WCT Academy presents Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS, a jazzy, high-energy adventure full of feline fun.
Set in the heart of Paris, Duchess, a refined cat, and her three playful kittens stand to inherit their eccentric owner’s fortune, until a scheming, bumbling butler hatches a mischievous plot. Enter Thomas O’Malley, a street-smart alley cat, and his band of swingin’ jazz friends, who step in to save the day. This delightful adaptation of the beloved Disney film is a purr-fect treat for audiences of all ages.
