Scenes From Metamorphoses

WCT Academy Teens bring myth to life in Scenes From Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses, based on Ovid’s first-century epic.

The play weaves together familiar and rarely-told stories of transformation, juxtaposing the ancient and the contemporary to explore love, loss, and the inevitability of change. The ensemble embodies mythic figures like Midas, Eros and Psyche, and Orpheus and Eurydice through moments of joy, heartbreak, and daring.

Visually and emotionally captivating, Scenes From Metamorphoses invites audiences to reflect on the fluid nature of life, identity, and the world around us – a poetic and unforgettable journey brought vividly to life by these talented young performers.

ACADEMY PRODUCTIONS

Academy Productions are a tuition-based show experience involving auditions, rehearsals, tech, and performances. We love to develop the whole performer starting with our youngest stars.

Academy teen productions are audition-based and tuition will be charged after casting.

The Margaret Brate Bryant Civic Theatre building is fully accessible, and WCT is proud to offer a number of services to our patrons who have special needs.
