As part of Waukesha Art Crawl #137, being held on October 4, 2025, from 2pm – 8pm, we will be hosting our 7th annual Waukesha Plein Air Competition sponsored by the Waukesha Civic Theater.This week long Plein Air event is taking place from Monday, September 29th through Saturday October 4th.
An Artists Reception/Sales Event will also take place on Saturday October 4th from 5:30 – 8pm at Waukesha Civic Theater. Awards will be presented at 6pm.
6 awards will be given out as follows: Best in Show will be awarded $500, First Place $250, Second Place $150, Third Place $100, Nocturn Award $250 and People’s Choice Award $250. Additional honorable mention awards may be given.
Waukesha Civic Theater will offer the 6 award winners a featured exhibit in the WCT Waukesha State Bank Fine Art Gallery with the dates TBD. Each award winner will be able to exhibit 3 pieces of their choice.
Waukesha Civic Theatre has been a staple in the Waukesha Community for quality live entertainment and theatre education since 1957. Waukesha Civic Theatre is a local nonprofit theater located in historic downtown Waukesha.
