Shifting Gears – An Eric Bergendahl Concert

An Eric Bergendahl Concert with special guests, Katie Berg and Shawn Holmes

Gears turn.  Clocks tick.  Time moves onward.  Though many times it feels our wheels spin, we stall, stuck in one place and one time.  It’s in those moments, when months feel like years, that a change is needed, when the gears that turn our lives need to be shifted to something new.  Join us for a night of songs that embody change, hope, and reflection as we all find our new places in a changing world, be it on stage or our own homes.  Enjoy limited in-person seating, or watch from the comfort of home with a virtual livestream. www.ericbergendahl.com

Production Information

ARTISTS
Eric Bergendahl
From a young age, he had a passion for entertaining. He first experienced the thrill of performance the same way every artist does: through stage magic. But, like everyone else, he eventually learned he had to put his dreams of Vegas magicianship behind, and enter into the world of higher education. It wasn’t until a few years later at UW-Milwaukee that he discovered a passion for singing, and more importantly, he discovered that people wanted to hear him sing. In 2019, he unexpectedly joined Lake Country Playhouse’s production of Mamma Mia (Sky), inspiring him to audition for his first significant stage appearance, which took many by surprise with his performance as both Jekyll and Hyde with West Allis
Players. That winter brought a genre change in Rock of Ages (Drew Boley) with Greendale Community Theater. His last stage appearance was at WCT, playing Will Bloom in Big Fish.
Katie Berg
Katie is thrilled to join these incredible vocalists for a one-of-a-kind performance! Favorite credits include: Big Fish (Sandra Bloom) and It’s A Wonderful Life (Mary Bailey) at WCT; The Bridges of Madison County (Francesca – 2019 Footlight Award Nominee), SPAMALOT! (Lady Of The Lake) at LCP; and Annie (Star To Be) at Skylight Music Theatre. Katie studied Musical Theatre at the NYU – Tisch School of the Arts and UW-Madison. Katie is the Founder and Director of Lake Country Playhouse’s Performing Arts Academy and a voice coach. Love to Jake, Henry & Fritz!
Shawn Holmes
Shawn is extremely excited to be returning to the stage with Shifting Gears. Shawn has performed all throughout Wisconsin. Some companies that he has performed with were Skylight Music Theatre, Florentine Opera, First Stage Children’s Theatre, Middleton Players Theatre, Black Arts MKE, and Four Seasons Theatre. Some of his favorite roles he has performed were Coalhouse Walker Jr. from Ragtime (winner of best actor in a musical – Broadway World), Sebastian the Crab in Disney’s The Little
Mermaid, and Jacob in La Cage aux Folles (winner of Best Supporting Actor in a musical – Footlight Awards). Lastly, Shawn would like to thank his family and friends for the endless support.
