Why Academy At Civic Theatre?
The Waukesha Civic Theatre provides quality theatre programming to children and adults in the Waukesha community through the Academy at Civic Theatre (A.C.T.). Our A.C.T. programs not only help build self-confidence in our students, but they engage and strengthen listening, communication, and creative problem-solving skills. These are core stage skills that go beyond the stage. They help students to think on their feet, to take creative risks, to collaborate more effectively, and so much more!
The 1st Annual ACTing Out Run, Walk, or Skip fundraiser will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 beginning at noon. This new fundraising event serves as our primary fundraiser for the Academy at Civic Theatre (A.C.T.). We hope to raise $8,000 through this event, but we can only do that with your help!
Waukesha Civic Theatre has focused on quality theatre education since it was founded in 1957, through on-site classes, through classes at local schools, and through our broader outreach programs. To continue to provide quality theatre education, we ask our community to work together to help fund our amazing year-round theatre education program.

Saturday, August 10th, all participants meet at the back of the theatre at NOON. We will then Run, Walk, or Skip around the Riverwalk, crossing Barstow as a group for safety. We will arrive back at the theatre for activities and lunch. To celebrate our collective accomplishments, the total amount raised will be announced!
