About The Program
A.C.T. Productions gives students the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of participating in a Mainstage show at WCT. Each student participating in this program is guaranteed a role in the production. However, they will still get the invaluable experience of going through an audition process to determine which role they will have. They will also attend theater classes designed to develop and strengthen their core stage skills as they approach the audition date. We want every student to feel confident and excited about their audition opportunity.
Once casting is done, the rehearsal process begins! Students will go through the full rehearsal process and gain a better understanding and appreciation of everything that goes into a Mainstage production.
But A.C.T. Productions isn’t just for the students. This is a family affair! The families of participating students will be expected to contribute volunteer hours to the program. We know that schedules get busy, but finding time to volunteer and be a part of what these students are doing is truly a rewarding experience for everyone involved. Volunteer opportunities can include:
- Program Design
- Backstage Supervising
- Costumes/Props/Set Building and Painting
- Closing Performance Cast Party
A.C.T. Productions is about so much more than putting on a show. It’s about giving these kids (and their families!) a fun-filled, learning experience that they will remember the rest of their lives. We sincerely hope you can join us for the upcoming A.C.T. Productions program and see for yourself what all the fun is about.
